Overview

This trip is planned for people who enjoy the culture, history and nature of Nepal in a short span of time which covers the main areas of tourist destinations of Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan.  In Kathmandu, you will be visiting several UNESCO World Heritages sights in the company of English speaking local tour guide.  Transfers will be by air-conditioned private vehicle and the type of vehicle depends on the size of group.  While in Pokhara, you will enjoy the trip to Sarangkot, about 15 to 20 minutes drive from your hotel that allows you to see a panoramic mountain range of the Annapurna.   Then after breakfast, hiking is scheduled to Anadu Hill where World Peace Stupa is situated, after a boat ride across the pristine Phewa Lake.  The uphill walk one way, through the forested area will take about 45 minutes to an hour that will allow you to see the beautiful Pokhara Valley and wider range of Himalayan mountain peaks.  But the view depends on weather which is beyond our control.  Then we will return the same way back to the hotel.  Visiting Chitwan is another exhilarating experience to watch wild animals (such as the one horned Rhino, sloth bear, wild boar, many different species of deer and sometime the Royal Bengal Tiger as well as wild birds) in their natural habitat by riding on an elephant back.  Visiting the local village will in Chitwan will let you have an experience on the day to day life of people who live in low land areas of Nepal.  Dug out canoe ride in the river will allow you to an opportunity to see the aquatic animals (local river fish, Gharial crocodiles etc.).

This tour does not involve high altitudes or any adventurous activities thus there is no age bar.  Anyone can enjoy this trip as long as they are physically fit and like travelling to different places.

This tour can be done any time of the year except during monsoon / rainy season (from June to September) since there is some heavy down pour for few hours but somehow will not be an obstacle for this tour.  Weather during spring is warm with fairly clear sky from March to May.  During monsoon, it is bit warm, humid and cloudy sky but when it rains, the weather become cooler.  October brings mild winter until half way of November.  From half way November to February, Kathmandu becomes bit cold in the morning and in the evening as it is located at an altitude of 1400 meters from sea level.  As Chitwan lies just 260 meters above sea level (low land of Nepal) which has sub-tropical climate, it is quite hot during spring and summer.
