Trip introduction

Amazing and marvelous time at Annapurna Base Camp Trek brings you so close to the base of 7,000 and 8,000 meter peaks in such a short period of time. Led by expert guides and assisted by supporting staff throughout, you will be travelling six to seven hours a day alongside terraced rice paddies, lush rhododendron forests and high altitude landscapes with the Annapurna Range in view most of the times and on grassy uphill slopes, to reach  Annapurna Base Camp overlooking towards magnificent Annapurna peaks and Annapurna I a wall of a mountain encountering historic architectures, icy moraines and breathtaking landscapes on the way and alongside the village. The huge rhododendron forests in full bloom in spring time will certainly gives the trek an extra appeal.

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)

Our company representative will be waiting at arrivals terminal and will be holding a sign of International Adventures Treks & Expeditions Pvt. Ltd. with your name printed on it for your warm welcome. After meet and greet we drive to our designated hotel. Evening meeting is arranged with your Kathmandu city tour leader.

Day 2

After breakfast at your hotel, your Kathmandu tour guide will pick you up for the guided city tour. You are ready to visit many UNESCO enlisted heritage site located in the city of temples; beautiful location to visit at least once in your life lime. The Durbar Square reveals the history of the royal families of Nepal and the museum here refers you the most ancient arts and sculptures along with showcases beautiful traditional carved architecture. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important temples for all Hindu pilgrims and is believed to be the most ancient one. Swayambhunath is also known as the Monkey Temple that is oldest one in the city and Baudhanath Stupa is one of the largest Stupas in the world. You night stay in Kathmandu is managed in hotel inclusive of breakfast and meal.

Day 3
Kathmandu to Pokhara (820 m) by Tourist Bus. 6-7 hours.

After your breakfast, feel relax of the 6-7 hours comfortable drive along the Prithivi Highway. Route is along Trisuli and Marshyangdi rivers bank and passes by beautiful green fields and rural villages. Upon arrival at the beautiful lake city; Pokhara, we will check into our hotel to freshen up. Then we go for boating on Fewa Lake and a little sightseeing around Lakeside.

Day 4
Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhunga (1540m); 1 hour drive and walking 4 hours.

After breakfast, begins our Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Trail begins with rough roads leaving from Nayapul – a small local village with shops and local restaurants. Our trekking permit is checked in Birthanthi. Birthanthi will offer us the most beautiful scenery of the waterfalls and the forest. After crossing the Modi Khola, left trail will ascend to Tirkhedhunga.

Day 5
Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani(2860m); Walking 5-7 hours.

After breakfast, our trek starts. Across two suspension bridges,steep3000 stairs climb for 2 hours trail will take us to the village of Ulleriso we keep in mind “slow and steady”. The view of Annapurna South from half way up and Hiun Chuli from Ulleri is certainly worth an effort. After Ulleri, the trail is mostly a gradual uphill with some flat and downhill and through dense rhododendron and oak forests and the villages of Banthanti and Nangethani. A ten minute walk from Ghorepani will take to the ridge for beautiful panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.

Day 6
Hiking up to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (2630); Walking 6-7 hours.

Early morning trek for a climb up Poon Hill to observe probably the best sunrise and panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges will certainly amuse you.At 3210 metres Poon Hill is one of the best view points in Nepal and can be a mesmerizing and spiritual experience. After the return, we then have our breakfast and pack our bags to trek to Tadapani (2650m) via Deurali and Banthanti.

Day 7
Tadapani to Sinuwa (2301m); Walking 7 hours.

Trekking goes on exciting day by day. The trail goes downhill about 2 hours to cross a small stream and then a gradually climb takes us to the settlement village of Gurung. Our lunch is arranged at Chhomrong, a big settlement village of the Gurung communities. From here you will find yourself very close to beautiful mountains. Then the trail descends for 45 minutes, crossing the Chhomrong Khola and then ascends uphill for about 1 ½ hours to reach Sinuwa where we spend a night.

Day 8
Sinuwa to Deurali (3200m); Walking 7 hours.

Today trek is completely different and adventurous as we move through a deep gorge and on the banks of the ModiKhola. Destined place is Deurali via Bamboo, Dovan and Himalaya Hotel with some chance of observing wildlife and whispering sounds of nature that will drives you crazy. Overnight in Guest house is arranged in Deurali.

Day 9
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m). Walking 5 hours.

Here comes the most awaited day of our trek. Trekking from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp is about 5 hours via Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Base Camp. Scenic beauty of the place, being surrounded by high, snow-capped mountains will certainly overwhelm you. The closer view of the glacier and the mountains including Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South, HiunChuli, Fishtail and many more will surely make a memorable moment in your life. Overnight in Guest house is arranged according to plan.

Day 10
ABC to Bamboo (2310m); Walking 6-7 hours.

We enjoy the magnificent view of the sun rays hitting the Himalayas early in the morning; a photographic timing beyond comparison. Then after our breakfast, we arrive at Bamboo at the end of the day walking alongside beautiful glaciers and through forests. Walking downhill is easier but with a drop of 2000 meters over 6-7 hours, you would be weary.
You will find night stay in Guest House more relaxing.

Day 11
Bamboo to Jhinu Hot Spring (1780m); Walking 5 hours.

After having breakfast, we climb for 30 minutes to reach Khuldighar to observe experimental sheep farm for short time. Now the trail is a combination of gradual climbing, flat and downhill through rhododendron and bamboo fields via Sinuwa to Chhomrong village. Then the trail descends very steeply for 1 hour to the village of Jhinu. The day is worth an effort as you pack a small bag for the Hot Springs. A thrilling visit to the hot springs works magic on your tired trekking legs and is a well-deserved break on your return trip from base camp. Overnight in Guest house – Jhinu

Day 12
Day 12: Trek Chomrong – Ghandruk (1,940m.)

After breakfast in Chomrong, we will start the trek that descends downhill to Kimrong Khola (1,780m.) which takes about 2½ hours. We will have a early lunch break today then start a sharp climb uphill to Khumrong Danda (2,250m.) before finally descending again to a picturesque Ghandruk village. It takes roughly 3 hours from Kimrong Khola to Ghandruk. This place is one of the very well known village amongst the many villages that trekkers come across during the trek – O/nt. lodge

Day 13
Jhinu to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara. Walking 6 hours and 1 hour drive

Our trail firstly descends, crosses the river and follows the “Nepali Mountain Flat” trail all the way to Nayapul where car will be waiting to drive us back to Pokhara. We check into our hotel and your “Happy Hour” starts soon after.

Day 14
Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus.

After breakfast, this will be a riding along the river banks with wonderful views of terraced hills and landscape. After reaching Kathmandu, we take your time. We will have a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey. Your night stay inclusive breakfast, lunch and farewell dinner is well managed in hotel of Kathmandu.

Day 15
Transfer to Kathmandu airport for your onward destination.

After breakfast, your guide or representative of our company will arrange a car for your transfer to the airport; and then bid farewell with safe flight. And you will be ready to take off for returning home by collecting all wonderful and unforgettable memories. Summit your Challenges, get it turned to your happiness is always our slogan.
